Conductive plastic angular displacement sensor develops new field in international market

Conductive plastic angular displacement sensor is a kind of high precision displacement sensor with linear relationship between voltage output and rotation angle. It takes advantage of the excellent properties of conductive plastics in electrical, technological and mechanical properties to replace the principle of carbon film and metal film resistance, which greatly improves the performance of the sensor in terms of precision, life, output smoothness and resolution. The conductive plastic angular displacement sensor was mainly used in the military field in the early days. Now with the maturity of technology, it has been widely used in various occasions such as position feedback, position detection and displacement measurement in civil field.
According to industry insiders, due to the technical confidentiality of conductive plastic potentiometers, only a few domestic manufacturers are in production. Varieties from small to large, round to long specifications, it surpasses all the performance of other potentiometers (such as: the service life of the product, adaptability to harsh environment, product stability). However, the linear accuracy of the product can not exceed the super precision wire wound potentiometer, which is kept in the range of 0.1% to 1.0%.
The production technology of conductive plastic potentiometers has made great progress since it was put into use for many years. As an angle (linear) displacement sensor, its excellent characteristics are more and more revealed. It has been used to replace contactless differential transformer (i.e. rvdt and LVDT) and precision wire wound potentiometers in many fields abroad. It is expected that it will develop further and open up new application fields in the future.
