Pull wire displacement sensor Its function is to convert mechanical movement into electrical signals that can be measured, recorded or transmitted. The displacement sensor is wound by a stretchable stainless steel rope around a threaded hub, which is connected to a precision rotary sensor, which can be incremental encoder, absolute value encoder, mixed or conductive plastic rotary potentiometer, synchronizer or resolver.
In operation, the pull rope displacement sensor is installed in a fixed position, and the pull rope is tied to the moving object. The linear motion of the rope is aligned with the axis of the moving object. When movement occurs, the pull rope extends and contracts. An internal spring ensures that the tension of the pull rope remains unchanged. The threaded hub drives the precision rotary sensor to rotate, and outputs an electrical signal proportional to the moving distance of the pulling rope. The displacement, direction or velocity of the moving object can be obtained by measuring the output signal.
The common parameters include measuring stroke, output signal mode, linearity, repeatability, resolution, wire diameter specification, outlet tension, maximum round-trip speed, weight, input resistance value, power, working voltage, working temperature, vibration, protection level, etc.
The signal output mode of the pull rope displacement sensor is divided into digital signal output and analog signal output. The digital output type can select incremental rotary encoder, absolute value encoder, etc. the output signals are square wave ABZ signal, sine cosine signal, CANopen signal, free RS485 signal, MODBUS signal, PROFIBUS signal or gray code / binary signal. The measuring stroke length is 100-15000mm, High precision (～% FS), protection grade IP65. The rope is made of 316 stainless steel, which can be used in harsh environment. The optional output modes are: resistance type, voltage type, current type, incremental pulse type and absolute pulse type.
The analog output type can choose precision potentiometer, hall encoder, absolute value encoder, etc. the output signal can be 4-20 mA, 0-5 V, 0-10 V and resistance signal, etc., the maximum stroke can reach 12500 mm, the maximum use environment can reach the protection grade of IP65, and the wide temperature environment from - 45 ℃ to + 105 ℃.
Precautions for installation of cable encoder:
1. Use the four fixing screw holes at the bottom to directly install or add additional protection or other mechanical use according to the needs of site and machine installation space facilities
2. When installing the stainless steel cable, pay attention to the horizontal angle, that is to make the mechanism from the outlet to the moving part slide horizontally during the operation, and keep the minimum angle (allowable deviation + / - 30) to ensure the measurement accuracy and the service life of the steel cable
3. The steel cable body is stainless steel with fluorine coating. Please do not let it be cut, burned or impacted by external force. Excessive dust, debris or articles that can damage the cable. The pulley or outlet stored inside will cause damage to the cable and lead to the failure of running smoothly
4. Do not pull out the steel cable by hand or other products before it is installed on the worktable or fixed seat and let it bounce back instantly. This will cause the steel cable to break and damage the body structure and personal safety
